Francia Raisa‘s dad is making sure the world listens to his daughter’s side of the story.
He claimed that his daughter tried stopping Selena Gomez as she could not stop drinking after the How I Met Your Father actress donated a kidney to save her life.
When asked why Raisa who was such an important part of the Wolves singer’s life, did not appear in her documentary, My Mind & Me, Renan Almendarez Coello revealed that there was indeed bad blood between the girls, confirming the rumors of their fall out.
Last November, he spoke to Primer Impacto, saying,
“Love, money and fame changes the whole world, including Selena,”
The show host wasted no time in asking if the fight happened because of the Only Murders in The Building star’s drinking habit. He responded,
“There’s a difference when Selena is drinking,”
“Francia told Selena that she didn’t give her the kidney so she could go out and drink.”
The 69-year-old also warned Gomez at the time, saying, “Be careful. Be really careful.”
Raisa made global headlines in 2017 when she donated one of her kidneys to Gomez, who was on the verge of losing her life because of Lupus.
Selena, 30, even documented the medical procedure and shared photos of the two holding hands from their respective hospital beds.
The Wizards of Waverly Place wrote on Instagram at the time,
“There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa,”
“She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me.
“I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”

Raisa said Selena’s fans bullied and threatened her
However, rumors of their friendship in trouble skyrocketed last year when the former Disney Channel star called Taylor Swift her only best friend in the industry.
In an interview with Rolling Stones last November, Selena said,
“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong,”
Raisa threw shade at her comment by writing and then deleting the word Interesting under an Instagram post.
However, in March 2023, Selena hinted that all was well between the ladies by calling Raisa her best friend. In an interview for Apple TV+’s Dear… she said that she “will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia” for saving her life.
Raisa recently revealed that Selena’s fans are sending her death threats. She shared a comment posted by Gomez’s fan that read,
‘I hope someone goes up your p–y and rips out your other kidney, you f–king whore.”
”In no way shape or form does anyone condone bullying, especially Selena.”
