Game of Thrones actor Andrew Dunbar dies suddenly on Christmas at his home!

Andrew Dunbar and his sudden untimely death
Andrew Dunbar was an extra in the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, and was also a body double for the character of Theon Greyjoy which actor Alfie Allen portrays.
He was in his home in Belfast on Christmas Eve but died suddenly. He was young and in his thirties. The Independent UK reported that his death was on 23 December 2019.
The cause of his death is uncertain. The police stated that it does not appear to be a suspicious death.
A spokesperson for the department of Extras, as well as an Irish agency, have both confirmed the sad death news.
The statement from the Department of Extras
The Department of Extras released a statement to the effect which read:
“To say we are shocked and saddened at the passing of Andrew Dunbar is an understatement. We have so many fond memories of the years Andrew worked with us.”
“He was so versatile we could cast him in anything, he was such a talented performer he would always end up being featured, and he was so adored that he was always requested by productions again and again.”
The Instagram statement continued:
“He’ll be remembered in his roles as a Stark and Theon Greyjoy’s Double on Game of Thrones, a corrupt Police Officer on Line of Duty, the poor fella cornered by Colum on Derry Girls, and a Rebel on Krypton to name a few. But most of all he’ll be remembered by his kind soul and infectious personality.
Thank you for all you did for us Andrew.
We will miss you dearly.”
Andrew Dunbar’s diverse career
The late Andrew was indeed a highly versatile actor. He starred in the popular TV series Game of Thrones as an extra. But he was an outstanding person and appeared in crowd scenes. He played the character of a Stark archer in the sixth season episode named Battle of the Bastards. He used to do stunts and was a body double for the character of actor Alfie Allen in the series. Alfie played Theon Greyjoy in the series.
Additionally, Andrew appeared as an extra in “Derry Girls,” “Line of Duty,” and “Krypton”. He also served as a DJ and was a tour guide for the series Game of Thrones.
