‘Happy Engagement!’ Steve Burton, known for his role on General Hospital, announced his engagement to Michelle Lundstrom via Instagram on January 4, 2025.

Michelle Lundstrom, 43, is a cook and content creator who gained recognition as a contestant on season 2 of Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown.

The 54-year-old actor shared a carousel of photos from the proposal, which took place on Friday, January 3.

One of the photos captured the moment when Burton got down on one knee and popped the question.

In his post, he expressed his joy with the caption “Engaged 1/3/25” and included a quote from the Bible (Jeremiah 29:11). The caption reads,

“Jeremiah 29:11. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Steve’s engagement to Michelle comes shortly after finalizing his divorce from Sheree Gustin in March 2024.

Burton was married to Gustin from 1999 until their separation in 2022. The former couple shared three children together daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son Jack.
