Gypsy Rose Blanchard is making a positive change!
Since her early release from prison on December 28, Blanchard, 32, has been using her social media as a platform to celebrate her everyday milestone with her social media followers.
She also loves posting about her love life with her husband Ryan Anderson and her outfit-of-the-day snaps.
Most recently, she used her social media platform to celebrate something nice. Over the weekend, she revealed that she’d cut off eight inches of her hair.
Her post showed a selfie with a new look which had the hashtag #expressyourself, and a photo of her short hairstyle.
Rose wrote alongside the slide of snaps,
“It’s never too late to start reinventing yourself, even if it is something subtle like a new hairstyle To all the girls, boys, and non-binary…enjoy life, express yourself in whatever creative ways makes you happy. Life is too short to hide your beauty. Let the world see you shine!”
After that, she also shared a TikTok video of her explaining her major reason for change.
Gypsy shared that she wants to send her locks to The Great Cut,
“So what I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time is to donate my hair to a charity that makes wigs for people that have hair loss or that are going through cancer,”
The Charity works with Children with Hair Loss and specializes in providing hair replacements to kids with medically related hair loss at zero cost to their families.
Blanchard continued,
“I have had my own personal experience with hair loss not by means of health reasons but if you know my story you’re very familiar with those reasons why.”

How did internet users react to Gypsy’s hair donation?
During her childhood, Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a rare psychological disorder in which a caretaker, often one’s mother, seeks attention and medical help for exaggerated or made-up symptoms of a child in their care.
Her biological mother, Claudine Blanchard trapped young Gypsy in full medical lies, including a false cancer diagnosis, for which she shaved her daughter’s hair.
Gypsy later served seven years in prison for the killing of Dee Dee.
Sharing an old pic of herself without hair, Blanchard said,
“For me, not having hair was really hard on my self-esteem. So, I just want to do something to help other people that are going through issues with hair loss because I know the only time that I ever felt beautiful is when I was wearing a wig,”
She ended her video by showing off her new hairstyle, saying, “I think it looks kinda cute,”
One follower commented,
”this is so sweet considering how long she lived without hair. 🩷”
Another wrote,
”I love how you’re turning a negative experience into a positive. Lovely thing to do x”
