The influencer’s parole officer is reportedly concerned that Rose’s social media posts could take her back to prison.
Gypsy who spent eight years behind bars for the murder of her mom, Dee Dee Blanchard got rid of her social media accounts “at the advisement of her parole officer, so she won’t get in trouble and go back to jail,” according to People.
Blanchard first deleted her public Instagram account which had more than 7.8 million followers. Then she went on TikTok to explain her decision.
She said on Thursday, on a series of since-deleted videos,
“I do my best to live my authentic life and what’s real to me, and what’s not real is social media,”
“Social media is literally a doorway to hell. It’s so crazy. I can’t even wrap my head around what social media is.”
The 32-year-old said at the time that she had a talk with her father, Rod Blanchard and he gave her some much-needed guidance.
After the conversation, Gypsy said that she realized real is “something you can touch, something you can feel.”
The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard star further explained,
“People you can actually hug. And with the public scrutiny as bad as it is, I just don’t want to live my life under a microscope,”
“So, I created my private Instagram. And I got it verified. And I had no trouble or doubts of deleting that public one.”

Will Gypsy return to social media?
Shortly after the video, Blanchard deleted her TikTok and showed no sign of returning to the platform.
The former prisoner gathered a surprisingly big fan following after being released from prison. Thanks to her court case turned hit Hulu series, Mommy Dead and Dearest, she received immense media attention.
People felt empathetic towards Rose since she was a victim of her mother’s abuse because of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, an illness in which a person fabricates symptoms to gain sympathy.
After creating her social media accounts, the former inmate quickly went viral for commenting about her sex life with her husband Ryan Anderson, stating that his “D is fire.”
Last week, she gave her followers a glimpse of her dyed blond hair.
Social media gave a mixed response to Gypsy’s fame. One wrote,
”This girl helped kill her mother. She is no hero, not even close. She’s damaged but she’s not to be praised or looked up to!”
Another commented,
”Wow, this place is full of nobodies today.”
