Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who is currently pregnant with her first child, has introduced the father of her unborn baby.
She has publicly confirmed that her boyfriend, Ken Urker, is the biological father of her baby.
On November 5, 2024, the 32-year-old shared a post on Instagram revealing the results of a non-invasive prenatal paternity test, which indicated a 99.9% certainty that Urker is the father.
In her post, she addressed the speculation surrounding the paternity by stating,
“There’s been a lot of chatter around the paternity of our baby and while we’ve known for sure from the beginning, I feel that it’s finally time to put all these theories to rest,”
She expressed excitement about Urker’s impending fatherhood, declaring,
“Here are the results showing Ken is the father. Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our baby girl into the world.”
Well, the couple is expecting a baby girl, with the due date set for January 2025. Gypsy revealed the sex of their baby during an Instagram post on August 10, 2024,
In July, Gypsy first announced her pregnancy, just three months after filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson.
In 2022, The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star married Ryan while she was still in prison. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted for just two years.
In March 2024, the two separated and Blanchard filed for divorce in April, shortly after her release from prison in December 2023.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s paternity test clears up fatherhood questions
Gypsy Rose Blanchard recently took a paternity test to confirm the identity of her baby’s father, which she already knew to be Ken Urker.
During her appearance on “Good Morning America” in July, she confidently stated that Ken Urker is the father. She said at the time,
“It was mid-March when I left Ryan. So, this is absolutely 100 percent Ken’s baby. There was never any question of paternity,”
However, if she had not taken the paternity test, there was a possibility that her ex-husband Ryan Anderson’s name could have been included on the birth certificate if their divorce had not been finalized by the time the baby was born.
According to Louisiana law, Ken Urker, Blanchard’s current boyfriend, could only be listed on the birth certificate if Anderson signed an affidavit recognizing him as the father.
If Anderson had not signed this affidavit, Urker would have needed to file a motion in court to have his name included on the birth certificate.
This process would require DNA testing for all parties involved. However, this situation has been resolved now that the paternity test has confirmed Urker as the biological father.

How long have Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker been dating?
In May 2024, Rose Blanchard shared with PEOPLE that she had rekindled her romance with Ken. The two started dating while Rose was still in prison for the murder of her mother.
They started initially as a pen pal but ultimately Urker proposed to Blanchard in 2018. However, their relationship ended before her release from prison in 2023.
At that time, she was married to Ryan Anderson, whom she wed during her imprisonment. Blanchard explained their reconnection by saying,
“Ken and I reconnected as friends. It wasn’t like, jump out of a marriage and then let me meet up with you, and boom, we’re in a relationship, We had kept a friendship for the longest time. He was in a relationship. I was with Ryan, and so we were living different lives with respect to our partners, a ‘wish you the best’ type of thing.”
Following her release, Blanchard and Urker appeared on Nick Viall’s podcast, discussing the challenges they face due to her parole restrictions, which prevent them from living together after the birth of their baby.
Blanchard explained that she is currently living with her parents in Cut Off, Louisiana, which is about an hour away from Urker. She stated,
“So I am still living with my parents in Cut Off, which is an hour away from [Urker], I’m gonna be living there until I’m off of parole. So we’re like, okay, how is this gonna work whenever the baby’s born? Like, how many days could I spend with you, and how many days can you spend with me?”
“You know, who will she be with? As, you know, we’re going back and forth, and we’re doing kind of essentially co-parenting even though we are together.”
