One-half of the Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers, has given an update on his health following a year of his cancer diagnosis. He told his concerned fans that he is learning to live with cancer and is optimistic to improve his health.
In his recent interview with BBC Breakfast, the chef disclosed how he is undergoing radiotherapy and all since April 2022, he told,
“[The treatment] is still ongoing but I’m kinda doing all right, it’s like many people, it’s something one learns to live with.”
The Hairy Biker, 65, reassured his fans of the cancer condition and says, there is a sign of recovery, he is hoping that he would be able to resume filming new contests, and manage his schedule too.
The TV chef who is concealing the type of cancer he is living with had earlier specified why is not into telling what he has, interviewing Guardian,
“Because everybody then goes googling, everybody becomes an amateur doctor… And I don’t want to be judged – yet.”

Dave Myers is coming back with a new show
The chef Dave Myers who is famous for the best food reviews across the UK through his show is coming with a new show. He wraps it up that his new shoes, The Hairy Bikers Go Local are going live on air.
“It was an idea that came together that a lot of chefs don’t know what’s on their own doorstep. If you’ve got amazing suppliers that are there on your doorstep, then maybe they don’t know about it.
“So it’s a bit like speed dating, there’s Michelin-star chefs, people who run pubs, and I would say 80% of the time, they don’t know.”
Hairy Bikers has said that he’d ‘had a rough year after he first witnessed cancer symptoms. Meanwhile, he says it felt great to be back adding,
“There are some times when I didn’t think I’d be here for Christmas. It’s fantastic to be back and what a way to celebrate Christmas here! I’m over the moon to be back. It’s lovely to be back it’s been a rough year and I can’t pretend otherwise.”
Giving insights into the medical facilities, that have aided him throughout the year, and the Christmas help from nurse Marion, he expressed gratitude,
“And a shout out to nurse Marion who before my chemotherapy brought me cake in – it was the best banana bread ever! But it’s lovely to be back. Si has been looking after me! The first time we were on Saturday Kitchen was 15 years ago.
Before all this, he had earlier revealed he nearly went blind 20 years ago, before his cancer diagnosis.
