Hayden Panettiere Opened Up About her Past Destructive Habits That Nearly Killed Her!

Hayden Panettiere said how she overcame her opioid and alcohol addiction
For the first time ever, Hayden Panettiere is talking about her dangerous postpartum depression and addiction to substance abuse.
The 32-year-old actress confessed:
“I was on top of the world and I ruined it,”
“I’d think I hit rock bottom, but then there’s that trap door that opens.”
The former Nashville star said she spent years fighting drug and alcohol addiction and postpartum depression on top of that.
After realizing that the addiction was going to take her life, the actress decided to take help.
Determined to get help, the mother of a 7-year-old Kaya, underwent trauma therapy and inpatient treatment that started making her life better.
Hayden said:
”I put a lot of work into myself and I had to be willing to be incredibly honest.”
Now sober, the actress has returned to work to reprise her fan-favorite character Kirby Reed in the next Scream film.

How did Hayden get addicted to drugs and alcohol?
Talking about her emotional journey from addiction to recovery and happiness, she said:
”This hasn’t been easy and there were a lot of ups and downs.”
”But I don’t regret the ugliest things that have happened to me. I feel incredibly accomplished. And I feel like I have a second chance.”
Hayden who was a star already by the age of 11, said how her addiction started. It happened when someone on her team started giving her happy pills just before walking on red carpets.
She said:
“They were to make me peppy during interviews.”
“I had no idea that this was not an appropriate thing, or what door that would open for me when it came to my addiction.”
Despite her flourishing career, she started struggling with alcohol to fight depression making her an addict.
That affected her relationship with Wladimir Klitschko and her addiction got worse as started distancing her daughter from her.
After eight months of rehab, the actress has finally been able to live a normal life.
