Ever since the Golf Channel premiered Morning Drive in 2011, all everyone seemed to talk about was a certain girl on the show.
She’s already a famous face in the sport of golf and has now traded in her driver for a microphone, interviewing golfers at major tournaments.
After a brief hiatus, she’ll be back on TV covering the U.S. Open 2017 for Fox this week. To celebrate the beautiful and talented golfer’s return, we have our Holly Sonders wiki right here.

Holly played for Michigan State
Born Holly Niederkohr in Marysville, Ohio, she changed her name to Sonders during her professional career. She is the daughter of Dan and Sandy Niederkohr and started playing golf at a very young age.
In high school, she earned all-league and all-district honors for four years and was named league and district MVP. She also played baseball and basketball in high school.
She majored in journalism at Michigan State University, where she won many titles and honors. Holly entered her senior year with a 78.47 career stroke average. Sonders is the most experienced athlete at the University with a total of 77 collegiate rounds played.
Sonders Married to a Radio Host
Television and radio host Erik Kuselias was married to Holly Sonders. He is currently a host on NBC Sports Radio. He used to work on the Golf Channel’s Morning Drive with Sonders.

After being spotted in public together numerous times, they announced their engagement in 2012. Many were shocked because Kuselias was a man in his 40s and had a checkered past.
When he worked for ESPN several years ago, he was suspended on sexual harassment charges and he also reportedly cheated on his ex-wife.
The couple reportedly split up due to Erik’s infidelities and reports say that Holly filed for divorce in the year 2016.
He also gained a bad reputation for trying to push himself as a package deal with his wife when Fox hired Sonders. And when Fox turned him down, he tried to push NBC to hire him and his wife. In the end, his antics got him fired from NBC, as well.
Sonders dating Kliff Kingsbury
Holly is reportedly dating Kliff Kingsbury, who is the new coach of the Arizona Cardinals. The couple officially revealed their affair in January 2019.
Golf’s Most Beautiful Women
Holly Sonders has brought glamor to golf with her style, fitness, and skills. It’s no surprise that various publications have named her the most beautiful woman in the sport!
She has shared her fitness regime on TV and with Golf Digest in the past, but it’s her choice of outfits that give her the most attention.
On Morning Drive, the network was criticized for objectifying her. But Sonders stood by her style choice. She said,
“I dress the way I dress because the style is very important to me. I love being a girl. You can be a pit-bull competitor. You can want to kick people’s asses in every sport, but you can still be feminine and still be sexy.”
Golf.com does an annual feature recognizing the “most beautiful women in golf,” and Sonders has been a featured individual in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
She Became a Star While Working on the Golf Channel
Sonders wanted to join the Golf Channel immediately after college, but she was told she needed more television experience.
She went to Little Rock and worked in news for a year before landing an interview and eventually the job with the Golf Channel in 2011.
Once there, she quickly rose to fame as one of the most popular figures in the sport, appearing on shows such as “Morning Drive,” “School of Golf” and “Playing Lessons with the Pros.” She also landed on the cover of Golf Digest in May 2013.
She was criticized for an Interview
Building its talent in anticipation of the US Open, Fox was able to hire Sonders away from the Golf Channel last summer.
“It’s going to be big, it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be loud,” she said of Fox’s golf coverage. “(But) it’s not going to be unconventional. We’re going to keep the tradition of the game but we’re going to do it in a new and fun way.”
Unfortunately for Sonders, who interviewed players at the 2015 men’s US Open, she drew criticism when she asked winner Jordan Spieth if he had brought the fifth outfit. She was able to take it in stride, though:
And for those of u hating on my interview w/ Jordan..It's appropriate to end with a smile. He's the US Open champ! Lighten up folks 🙂
