Jada Pinkett Smith Calls the Late Tupac Shakur her ‘Soulmate’!

Jada Pinkett Smith opens up about her chemistry with Tupac Shakur
Jada Pinkett Smith believes Tupac Shakur was her other half.
The actress who has been married to Will Smith for over 25 years said that the late rapper was her soulmate.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Girls Trip actress said,
“A soulmate, yeah,”
“If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think Pac and I have traveled a few together. You know, in various forms.”
When the outlet asked if she regretted not having a romantic relationship with the All Eyez on Me rapper, she said, “It just wasn’t possible.”
She added,
“It just wasn’t possible.”
“I talk about it in the book, you know. … It’s that friendship-love chemistry, trust me.”
Jada, 52, and Shakur first met at the Baltimore School for the Arts in Maryland in the mid-80s.
They stayed good friends until the Dear Mama hitmaker was fatally murdered in September 1996 while riding down on the Las Vegas strip in the car with Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight after a boxing match.
He was only 25 at the time.

Will Smith was not a fan of Jada and Tupac Shakur’s friendship
In a former interview, the Worthy author remembered the first time she met Shakur and how their friendship blossomed.
The mother of two recalled,
“It was the first day and he came over to me and introduced himself,”
“And in high school, Pac was a little funny-looking. Definitely from looking at him, wasn’t necessarily the type of cat that I would even like, deal with.”
The actress added,
“But as soon as he approached me, he was like a magnet. Once you paid attention to him he kind of sucked you in. And we hit it off from that moment on … I don’t think either one of us thought we would have made it in the way that we did, but we knew we were gonna do something.”
Just a year after Tupac’s death, the Set It Off actress married Will.
The couple share two children together: Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22.
Will is also a dad to son Trey, 30, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.
The King Richard actor, 55, in the past, admitted that he was jealous of his wife’s friendship with Tupac.
In January 2020, he said,
“That was in the early days,”
“That was a big regret for me, too, because I could never open up to interact with Pac.”
