The 39-year-old Jade Janks, who is facing her trial denying all the charges against her shifted the case to the pity side pinpointing her nudes more often.
Janks on describing her instant reaction on discovering her bare busts on her stepdad’s laptop. She continued the trial by saying,
“When I went to clean in his office area, I’m wiping things down, I bumped the mouse, and it shook the screen awake. There’s a picture of female breasts on the screen. I have a beauty mark on my chest, those are my breasts.
“It was the most violating, awful, gut-wrenching feeling ever. I felt sick, I felt I couldn’t even touch my own skin. I don’t know if there are words, not even in a movie have I seen something so sick.”

Arguments in the courts put forward
Deputy District Attorney Jorge Del Portillo claimed in court that Janks allegedly sent texts including one that read:
“He’s waking up. I really don’t want to be the one to do this. This was no accident. This was murder by design.”
Janks’ attorney Marc Carlos argued in her favor describing the step-daughter’s relationship with the troubled Merriman saying,
“The medical examiner will not tell you it was strangulation. The science does not support strangulation. Jade Janks loved her stepfather. Tom Merriman loved Jade Janks. Unfortunately, Tom Merriman was a troubled individual, and he loved her in different ways.”
Jade Janks who is currently free on $ 1 million bail albeit had been in a strong argument after the prosecutors pointed out her financial resources. They did not want bail of the suspects as she could flee as she shared connections in South Africa too.
