Jade Roper suffered from a tragic miscarriage of her fourth child
Jade Roper is mourning the loss of her fourth unborn child. Bachelor in Paradise star, 36, took to Instagram on Sunday, August 13, to share the heartbreaking news that she has experienced a tragic miscarriage.
Jade is pregnant with her fourth child, a baby boy named Beau, with her husband Tanner Tolbert.
However, the baby didn’t survive as the reality TV star suffered a ‘missed miscarriage,” which occurs when the baby stops growing but the mother’s body does not show physical signs of a miscarriage.
She wrote on her Instagram post,
“I’ve been struggling what to write here as I’ve been navigating a miscarriage. It felt like all my dreams were coming true to welcome another baby into our lives, to love and to complete out family. While our hearts our completely broken and we have been dealing with the deep and complex grief of the loss, we have been blessed to be touched by his soul for his short amount of time. I am forever changed.”
Jade also shared a mirror selfie of herself cradling her tiny baby and a snapshot of her ultrasound. She then went on to explain,
“I’m currently experiencing what is called a missed miscarriage, so while his heart has stopped and he has stopped growing (for some time now), my body hasn’t released the pregnancy yet. I am hoping to do this naturally and am trusting in timing and in my body under the care of my provider.”

“I’ve been carrying him with so much pride and cherish every moment still left with part of him, but it has also been equally as challenging and devastating,”
The Colorado native then concludes her statement by stating,
“So while I hold my belly here, our sweet baby’s body is resting in my womb as his soul soars. We love you with every piece of our hearts, baby Beau.”
This is not the first time Jade Roper experienced a miscarriage
Jade Roper revealed in a February 2019 YouTube video that she got pregnant while on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, however, didn’t find out until she came back to Kansas City to visit him.
She reflected on her experience with pregnancy loss,
“I just knew that I was late and something felt different, At the time, I didn’t really grieve because I just didn’t know really how to process it, It was so much so fast. In a really bad way, it was almost like this relief. It wasn’t really until after I had Emerson that I realized how much I love my child and how amazing of a miracle it is, and I think I really grieved that child much later.“
Similarly, she subsequently had another loss the following year just before welcoming their second baby. In July 2020, she posted an Instagram story referring to both losses.
She wrote at the time,
“I … had a chemical pregnancy the month before I became pregnant with Brooks, I don’t talk about them publicly very much, probably because I still always cry even though a lot of time has passed, and it always catches me off guard that there’s still so much more under the surface.”
Nevertheless, Jade Roper is a mother to three children a daughter Emerson, 5, and sons Brooks, 4, and Reed, 2.
