Jennette McCurdy reveals the true side of her abusive mom
Jennette McCurdy appeared at the Red Table Talk where she read an alarming email from her late toxic mother, Debbie McCurdy.
The 30-year-old actress joined the show’s co-hosts Adrienne Banfield Norris, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her daughter Willow Smith while discussing her new book I’m Glad My Mom Died.
The email which Jennette included in her memoir read:
“I am so disappointed in you,”
“You used to be my perfect little angel, but now you are nothing more than a little … slut, a floozy, all used up,”
Her mom Debbie slammed the iCarly alum for being with a hideous ogre of a man and rubbing his disgusting hairy stomach on a website.
Debbie even called her daughter a conniving, evil…liar and wrote:
“You look pudgier, too. It’s clear you’re eating your guilt. Thinking of you with his ding-dong inside of you makes me sick. Sick! I raised you better than this.”

Debbie questioned where her good little girl went and added:
“Where did she go and who is this monster that has replaced her? You’re an ugly monster now. I told your brothers about you, and they all said they disown you just like I do. We want nothing to do with you.”
Debbie concluded the email by writing:
“P.S. Send money for a new fridge; ours broke.”
Tensions between the mother and daughter were clear. The two were estranged by the time Debbie passed away in 2013.
Seven years after her abusive mother’s death, the actress performed her much-anticipated show I’m Glad My Mom Died in Los Angeles and New York.
While promoting her book of the same title, McCurdy opened up about the eating disorders she faced. Her mum weighed her, measured her body, and counted her calories.
In a recent interview, the singer said the book was one big way to heal her traumatic self.
She spoke candidly about her her teen years at the hands of her violent mother who broke her mentally and emotionally.
She said:
“I felt like she didn’t deserve my tears and my sadness since she was abusive, but it simplified in a really relieving way and now feels like I’m able to just miss her,”
