Jessa Duggar is pregnant with rainbow baby, Expecting Baby No. 5 with Ben Seewald

- The happy news comes a few months after the couple suffered a tragic miscarriage.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald have Baby No. 5 on the way!
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are expanding their family. The former Counting On star, 30, took to her Instagram story on Saturday, September 9, to announce the happy news that she and Ben are expecting their fifth child together.
She wrote,
“After a heartbreaking loss last year, we’re so thankful God has blessed us with a rainbow baby!”
Jesse and Ben are already a parent to four children Fern, 2, Ivy, 4, Spurgeon, 7, and Henry, 6.
Also on her Instagram story, Duggar shared a link to a YouTube video titled “A Baby on the Way & Romantic Getaway!”
The video showed footage of her positive pregnancy test sitting on the bathroom counter. She then went on to reflect on the “heartbreaking loss” the couple endured last year, before sharing the public of her wonderful news.
She began,
“Just this past week we found out some wonderful news that our rainbow baby is on the way and we could not be more excited,”

Similarly, when she made a statement in the video, the captions “God is so kind” and “We’re so thankful for the gift of this precious life” were shown on the screen.
Jessa Duggar has suffered two miscarriages
In 2021, Jessa experienced her first pregnancy loss ahead of the birth of her daughter Fern. The couple shared in a statement at that time,
“After the heartbreaking loss of a baby last year, we’re overjoyed to share that another little Seewald is on the way, he pregnancy is going smoothly, and both baby and Jessa are doing well.”
Duggar then opened up about her most recent miscarriages in February documenting her experience on her YouTube video titled “Heartbreak Over the Holidays”.
In the video, the 19 Kids and Counting star recalls being at the hospital with her spouse “trying to process the loss [while] sitting there and holding and crying” after losing her kid.
The couple revealed they eventually rushed to the doctor after spotting blood where they learned that the baby did not appear to be doing well.
The former reality TV star ultimately had curettage and dilation to remove the fetus from her womb.
