The Counting On star Josiah Duggar and his wife Lauren Swanson are happy. News of pregnancy is in and the couple is expecting their first child together!

Josiah Duggar and the baby news

PEOPLE has reported that The Counting On stars Josiah Duggar and his wife Lauren are going to be proud parents. Lauren is expecting their baby and the baby is due to arrive in the coming fall!

The couple had posted earlier:

“We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! The couple now released a joint statement which said:

“Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!”

They added:

“God’s faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort. We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall.”

The exclusive pictures of the couple

PEOPLE magazine has some exclusive shots of the couple and parents-to-be. In one of them, the couple is all smiles as Josiah is kissing Lauren. They are also holding a sign on which is written:

“Rainbow After the Storm. Baby # 2.”

The couple was engaged in March 2018. They wed on 30 June 2018 at John Brown University’s Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, AR. Josiah works as a handyman.

Josiah Duggar and Lauren’s tragic loss

In the early part of this year, the couple had opened up about the miscarriage that Lauren, 20 had in October 2018. Josiah, 22 had elaborated:

“Lauren and I were actually preparing for a trip to go to a friend’s wedding,”
“She started feeling really sick and started noticing some different things. Mrs. Swanson was there, so she was able to help her out. I didn’t know exactly what was going on.”

Lauren continued from this point:

“I wasn’t feeling well,”
“I was cramping really, really bad, which was quite strange because I normally don’t. And I was thinking maybe I had something that had gluten in it. It was late at night and I went to use the restroom and there was the baby. Gone. I couldn’t believe it and I was hoping it wasn’t true.”

Josiah and Lauren’s baby is due in October or November 2019. The other Duggar babies which are expected this year are Jessa Duggar, Josh Duggar’s wife Anna Duggar, Joe Duggar’s wife Kendra Duggar, and Joy Duggar.
