Katy Perry gets in trouble once again
Katy Perry gets booed by the American Idol audience once again. It happened after she criticized a contestant’s outfit choice.
Top 26 contestant Nutsa Buzaladze performed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ Paris, in a sparkly silver dress and similar boots. The Roar songstress who judges the competition show with Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie told the contestant that she needed to dismiss her signature look.
The Grammy nominee said,
“Nutsa, every time you take the stage it’s like you glitter bomb the stage,”
“Listen, one thing that I would like to see from you is not one piece of glitter the next time. I know that is going to be hard.”
After Perry’s comments the crowd at the Disne’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii giving boos to the Teenage Dreams singer shocked Richie, 73, and Bryan, 46, both stood up.
Bryan said,
“Katy got booed!”
The 38-year-old Dark Horse hitmaker responded,
“First time in six seasons,”
“What I’m saying is that I’d like you to flip the script. I think we want to be pulled in by our hearts, too. I’d love to see that and America might too.”
This was not the first time the fans were having a difficult time agreeing with what Perry had to say about the contestants of the show.

Katy’s mom-shaming joke at American Idol
Last month, the mother of one faced severe criticism after mom-shaming contestant Sara Beth Liebe for being a young mom of three.
Before wowing the judges with her performance, Liebe told them that she was the mother of three children and she was only 25.
While all three judges looked completely surprised, Perry stood up and roamed around her seat. Bryan started fanning her.
Liebe said,
“If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m going to pass out,”
Perry responded,
“Honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much.”
That statement garnered Perry a heavy backlash and disappointed Liebe took to her social media to share how she actually felt about it.
She said at the time,
“It was embarrassing to have that on TV, and it was hurtful,”
“I think that women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool and I think that mom-shaming is super lame and I think that it’s hard enough to be a mom and it’s hard enough to be a woman.”
The contestant who quit the show soon after that ended her video by encouraging other women to “keep loving your babies” despite what the world has to say.
