Kevin Costner accuses his ex-wife of robbing him
Kevin Costner accused his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner of robbing him of many expensive items purchased before calling it quits.
The Yellowstone star claimed that his ex-wife bought personal items and took out a lot of cash with credit cards. He believes she made up this plan before she filed for divorce in May.
In court docs obtained by Page Six, Costner, 68, said that the mother of his three kids “shows a disturbing propensity in the last several months, both before and after separation, to take [Kevin’s] property without his knowledge or consent, especially since this case was filed.”
The docs filed on Thursday alleged that the handbag designer, 49, paid a Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer $25,000 from her husband’s separate property funds without letting him know. She does not have an explanation for the large expense.
The docs also claim that Baumgartner paid her divorce lawyer, Susan Wiesner, “on the credit card of an employee which is traditionally used for Costner family house charges and paid by [Kevin].”
Costner’s lawyers accused Christine of buying an expensive vehicle months before their separation. It was shocking for Costner because they always leased their cars.
The pair signed their prenup in 2004 which revealed that Christine is allowed to take her personal vehicle with her even if they separated.
The Golden Globe winner’s legal team noted that Christine’s car purchase is proof that she “had been planning her exit long before she told [Kevin] in April 2023.”
They also alleged in the new doc that Christine refused to sign an agreement stating that she would not ransack their home before leaving it.

Apart from that, the judge also ordered Costner to pay $200,000 in attorney’s fees and $ 100,000 in forensic costs.
