The February 2018 heart attack
Kevin Smith had completed one of the scheduled two shows of Kevin Smith Live at the Alex Theater in Glendale when he threw up. He had a lot of sweating and his chest felt heavy. His friends immediately called an ambulance and Kevin was rushed to the hospital.
The doctors found that Kevin had suffered a massive heart attack and that the left anterior descending artery of his heart was blocked. He was taken up for emergency angioplasty and a stent was inserted into this block to bypass it.
Kevin wrote:
“The doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (“the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled the second show to go to the hospital, the Doc said I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!”
He also mentioned that he will do some lifestyle changes including going vegan.

It was a much-needed outing for Kevin and his family in order to treat his heart and soul. Kevin further wrote, remembering the olden days:
“We spent 7 hours going on every ride in the park except Splash Mountain and Dumbo (both closed for repairs), the Tea Cups, and the Indiana Jones adventure,When we first moved to California in 2002, Jen and I would bring a young @harleyquinnsmith to @disney at least once a month.
