The Storyline
The story of Spider-Man: Homecoming revolves around Peter Parker who is trying to discover his own spider-like abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider.
He fights against Adrian Toomes who tries to use the alien Chitauri technology to create advanced weapons and destroy the City. Peter Parker is drafted into ‘The Avengers’ but is told by Stark that he is not yet prepared to be a full Avenger.
He quits his school’s decathlon team to focus on ‘the stark internship’. His friend Ned who resides with him at his Queens apartment comes to know about his secret identity.
Peter tries to confront Adrian Toomes but is unable to overcome him. He once saves his friends when they get trapped in an elevator in the Washington Monument which Toomes tries to blow up the Monument with his Chitauri grenade.
He finds out Toomes’ whereabouts and tries to catch him, but in vain. His boss Stark is angry with Peter and scolds him for his failure and recklessness.
Peter Parker then returns to his high school life and requests his crush Liz to accompany him to the homecoming dance.
He discovers that Liz is Toomes’ daughter. He comes to know about Toomes’ new destructive plan and uses his homemade Spider-Man suit to go after Toomes and confront him.
Toomes uses his technology to destroy the building’s support beams and leaves Peter to die. Peter Parker manages to escape and prevents Toomes from causing more destruction.
He hands over Toomes to the New York Police Department. Peter Parker realizes his own powers and declines to join the Avengers.
