Pregnancy alert! Kristen Doute has announced that she is pregnant again after experiencing a miscarriage last year.

The 41-year-old reality TV star confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her fiance Luke Broderick are expecting their first child together. She told the outlet,

“After our pregnancy loss last year, we decided to start trying in early 2024, I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving, so Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.”
“In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route. The next month was a whirlwind — getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination),”

The baby’s due date is in June 2025. The former Valley star expressed excitement about this new chapter, stating,

“Our due date is in June and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents!”

Well, the pregnancy news comes just a few months after Broderick proposed to Doute.

Broderick popped the question during a trip to Maui, Hawaii, while they were filming the second season of The Valley.

After getting engaged, the couple discussed their plans with PEOPLE, revealing that they prioritized their fertility journey over wedding preparations

Doute mentioned they had been “really busy” and focused on their pregnancy efforts, saying,

“I mean, we wrapped The Valley, been working on our fertility pregnancy journey… relaxing, relaxing as much as possible. But enjoying being engaged,”

Broderick also shared a similar sentiment, mentioning that they were “putting a baby first” and prioritizing family.

The couple met at a friend’s wedding in June 2022, where Broderick was a groomsman. They publicly confirmed their relationship in December of that year.

During the premiere of The Valley, Doute humorously recounted their first encounter, saying,

“I thought he’s sweet, he’s kind, he’s funny and then we had sex behind a tent and the rest is history.”

Kristen and Luke visited Dr. Carolyn Alexander at the Southern California Reproductive Center to discuss their fertility options.

They ultimately chose to pursue intrauterine insemination (IUI) to help them conceive their “little miracle.”

Doute described her experience with Dr. Alexander as “incredible,” noting that she balanced scientific expertise with positive energy, which helped them successfully create their child.

After the IUI procedure, Doute quickly received the exciting news of her pregnancy, and Broderick was thrilled about their growing family.

Reflecting on the emotional journey, the expectant mom shared that the two weeks following the IUI felt like an eternity as she awaited the pregnancy test results.

She shared,

“The two weeks following the IUI procedure felt like years. To get a correct outcome on a pregnancy test, 2 weeks time had to pass and I had to wait it out but in my heart I knew it had worked. I tested one day early and got the big PREGNANT result staring back at me.”

Upon receiving the news, Doute felt a mix of relief, excitement, and nervousness.
