- They celebrated their 33rd marriage anniversary on 4 September 2022.
- They have two children, one son, Travis, and a daughter, Sosie.
Kevin wished her by posting their old picture on his Instagram and Twitter.

He shared their old photos. In 1991, in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, he said,
“The time I was hitting what I considered to be bottom was also the time I met my wife, our kids were born, good things were happening. And I was able to keep supporting myself; that always gave me strength.”
Their marriage and the Secret of their marriage
They got married on 4 September 1988. They met for the first time on the sets of the movie Lemon Sky which is a PBS adaptation of Lansford Wilson.
Sedwick spoke about his marital life in the year 2008 to the Redbook Magazine. There he revealed that it was not love at first sight with Kyra Sedgwick.
Kyra also said,
“He definitely wasn’t my type, In fact, I vividly remember looking at his butt when he walked away after we first met and thinking, Well, I guess some girls like that. And now it’s one of my favorite parts of his anatomy! That’s probably too much information!”
The secret to their lasting relationship and marriage according to Kyra,
“We’ve been married for so long and there are no secrets. But I never in a million years thought there would be sides to Kevin that I’m still learning. [Our relationship] is like a treasure; there are layers and layers of it. I’m constantly amazed that we are still surprised and interested in each other. When I look back at our first four years … by that time we’d had our second kid, and I look back at those pictures and I think, ‘Gosh, I didn’t know him at all!’ I loved him, but I didn’t know him, and he probably didn’t know me.”

And Kevin’s secret to their lasting marriage is,
“Whatever you do, don’t listen to celebrities on advice on how to stay married. That’s my secret.”
She continued,
“But you grow together and learn more about each other, I think the trust gets deeper and the dependency gets deeper, which is scary. I think, because my father and mother split up when I was very young, there was a part of me at the beginning of our marriage that thought, I’m cool alone. I love him, but I’m strong enough to handle life without him. But now he is the person I count on to live and walk through life with. It’s a dependency that is there and large and real and profound.”
In 2012, in an interview with Redbook, she said,
“Sex is really important. That desire is there, When he walks into a room, I’m still … I mean, my heart gets a little fluttery and I think, ‘Oh! He’s so cute. He’s so hot.’ That’s literally the first thing I think. You can ask people on the set – it’s palpable. He’s still a mystery to me. And getting older together is scary and exciting.”
