Jimmy Kimmel the funniest man with his show Jimmy Kimmel Live! has shared some sad and heartfelt news. He brought tears to the eyes of his viewers in his latest episode.
He recently welcomed his son but there was some associated bad news. He opened his talk show on Monday by disclosing that his infant son was born with a serious heart condition and had to be operated upon shortly after being delivered. Let’s Find out the reason behind it!
Jimmy Kimmel Son’s Health
The late-night talk host revealed on his show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that his newborn son, William, was born with a heart defect that required surgery three days after he was born.
William will need another open-heart procedure within the next three to six months.
Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney welcomed their second kid, a baby boy named William “Billy” Kimmel, on April 21.
During the emotional monologue he made on Monday, the host divulged that his son was born with a hole in his heart and a blocked pulmonary valve.
At three days old, Billy had a successful open-heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and is now home with his family.
Viewers — including some of Kimmel’s famous friends — responded on social media to his 13-minute monologue with an outpouring of support.

With all the love and support he received Jimmy Kimmel took to Twitter on Tuesday to thank all the well-wishers.
Kimmel displayed his gratitude with a photo of his son, along with his wife Molly McNearney and their daughter Jane, who is depicted holding a toy stethoscope to her younger sibling’s chest.
The ABC late-night host also told fans that his newborn son is “very well.”
“Sincere thanks for the outpouring of love & support – Dr. Jane is keeping a close ear on Billy, who is very well – XO,”
