Liam Neeson ‘s nephew Ronan Sexton dies 5 Years After his fall from a telephone booth!

Liam Neeson, the actor from Northern Ireland, had a nephew named Ronan Sexton who had suffered a fall five years back and sustained serious head injuries. He died the last weekend due to it. Ronan was, only 35 years old.

Sexton, 35 died over the last weekend in his hometown of Cushendall which is a small village in Northern Ireland. His family was present around at the time of his death.

The nature of Ronan Sexton’s injuries post-fall

In 2014, Ronan Sexton was having a night out with friends in Brighton, East Sussex. He had climbed onto the telephone kiosk situated next to the pier on the seaside town’s promenade when at 4 am, he fell 20 feet down and hit his head. A Sussex Police spokesperson said:

“Just after 4am on Sunday June 22 a 31-year-old Worthing man had climbed on to the top of a telephone kiosk outside Brighton Pier when he fell 20ft to the ground, sustaining a serious head injury.
“He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and was later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where he is currently in a critical condition.
“The man had been enjoying a night out with friends, who were present when he fell, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
“There is no further police investigation.”

The police did not talk about whether he was in a drunk state or not.
His mother, Bernadette Sexton was by his side and her partner, Harry Shannon, has said:

“Bernadette is not in at the moment because she has been at the hospital all day in Haywards Heath visiting Ronan.
“I do not want to comment further.”

Ronan was Bernadette’s youngest child of her six children. His family had stated at that time and said:

“Ronan is receiving wonderful treatment from the dedicated staff at Hurstwood Park,”

They thanked the public for their love, support, and prayers.

Liam Neeson and his loss a decade ago

Liam, 66 had lost his over the wife, Natasha Richardson 10 years back in a skiing accident in Quebec. It was an unfortunate death when Natasha who was skiing while on a holiday with family suffered an accident and hit her head. This was in March 2009 and Natasha was, barely 45 years of age at that time. In 2017, Liam talked about life after Natasha’s death:

‘[Her death] was never real. It still kind of isn’t. There are periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years… Any time I hear that door opening, I still think I’m going to hear her.’

The couple had met in 1993 during a Broadway performance and started dating. They married in 1994 on 3rd July. The couple had two children together: Michael who was born on 22 June 1995 in Dublin, Ireland, and Daniel who was born on 27 August 1996 in the city of New York.

Liam had donated Natasha’s organs after her death. Liam has three citizenships-Irish, British, and American. He now resides in the USA with his sons.

There was a rumor that he has converted to Islam but his publicist denied it and said that he had an affection for Adhan, the prayer call in Islam and it had started when he was filming for Taken 2 in Istanbul. Liam had said:

“By the third week, it was like I couldn’t live without it. It really became hypnotic and very moving for me in a very special way. Very beautiful.”
