1. Dwayne Michael Turner married a high school sweetheart
Lil Wayne’s parents, Dwayne and Jacinda were high school sweethearts. The two fell in love while attending a local high school in the impoverished Hollygrove neighborhood of uptown, New Orleans, Louisiana’s 17th Ward.
At an early age, Jacinda got pregnant with Lil. On September 27, 1982, she gave birth to her rapper son and named him after his biological father, Dwayne.
