Lizzo addressed Aries Spears’ fat-shaming comment about her
Aries Spears‘ hurtful remark about Lizzo‘s body is not letting her down.
While accepting the award for Video For Good for her hit track About Damn Time, the 34-year-old clapped back at Spears for hating on her.
As she accepted her first VMA she sent a message to her haters referencing Nicki Minaj‘s infamous clap back at Miley Cyrus during the 2015 VMAs.
After she took her award with immense pride and happiness, the Rumors singer said:
‘And now, to the b**ches that got something to say about me in the press,’
‘You know what, I’m not gonna say nothing.’
Lizzo made this statement after fans and fellow artists came to her defense after Spears made fun of the singer’s weight.
Aries, in his recent interview on the Art of Dialogue last week, said that he:
”couldn’t ‘get past the fact that she looks like the s**t emoji.’

Aries’s attacks on Lizzo seem unending
Other than that the comedian also has attacked the Grammy winner multiple time soften comparing her to mashed potato.
This is not the first time someone has body shamed the singer. She has had to deal with body shaming throughout her career.
In a 2021 interview with Zane Lowe, the multitalented artist revealed:
‘I feel like [being] fat is the worst thing people can say about me at this point. This is the biggest insecurity. It’s like, ‘How dare a pop star be fat?’ I had to own that.’
Supporting the release of her Rumors single, the singer added:
”There’s still so many people who suffer from being marginalized systemically”
‘Meanwhile, there’s a plus-size Black girl at the Grammys. But plus-size Black women are still not getting the treatment they deserve in hospitals and from doctors and at work.’

Many fans also admired Lizzo’s ability to sing and dance in high heels no less.
Meanwhile, Spears defended his remarks and shared some snaps of himself lying on his bed with messages to Lizzo’s fans and supporters.
