The 35-year-old Olympian announced the birth of his second child through a heartfelt Instagram post.
Louis and Charlie are already parents to a 3-year-old daughter named Marley Valentina.
In the post, the gymnast shared the first photo of their newborn and revealed the baby’s name, Remi Monroe Smith, who weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces.
He expressed his happiness with the caption,
“Been a wild ride but so happy to say mum and baby are all doing ok. Charlie you are so incredible to go through what you did should be so proud. Another experience that changes and shapes you from there after.”
Similarly, the photo showed Charlie cradling Remi while Louis stood beside her at the hospital.
The baby arrived just six months after Louis announced that he was expecting another child. In June, he shared an ultrasound photo on social media with the caption,
“It’s so nice we had to do it twice,”
Meanwhile, his partner, Charlie, expressed her excitement in her own post, stating,
