Lucy Alexander gives an interview and talks about her hidden hitherto unknown talent

- Lucy used to present this real estate and property show for a long duration of 13 years before she exited it around 2 years back.
The series is a hit show on BBC and Lucy, 47 also appears on its repeat telecast shows which are aired intermittently.
Lucy’s interview with Express. co. UK
Recently Lucy had given an interview to Express UK and she spilled one of her life secrets which not many of her fans and viewers are aware of. Lucy disclosed that she has a background in this art form.
She said:
“I went to a dance school so I used to do tap, ballet, modern, jazz. I used to sing,”
She hopes that this skill could help her secure a place in the show Strictly Come Dancing, sometime in the future. She added:
“I’m an old stage school kid. Not many people know that.
“That [dancing] is my background, but I’ve got it all in the locker ready to show everyone.”
She further stated:
“I can actually still do the splits. I’m 47 and I can still do the splits.
“I can dance. I used to be in the dance group.”
Lucy’s inspiration to revive her dancing
Lucy gave the credit for the revival of her dancing to her good friend Ruth Langford. She said that when she saw her friend Ruth dance on the show last year, Lucy too was inspired to restart her dancing and hone her skills in it.
She anticipates taking part in the show in the future. Her friend’s dancing on the show has led to a desire for her to take part herself.
She said:
“I would go every week and watch her on it. And I would literally sit there thinking, ‘This is what I want to do, I would love to do this’.
The mother-of-two added:
“It really really did show me a show that I know I would just love to do.”
The teasing of her show
She teased that she might be on the show soon. She said that she would like to be on this year’s show itself.
She added:
“Martin has gone off and done I’m a Celebrity… [Get Me Out of Here!]. It’s my turn now for Strictly Come Dancing.”
She further disclosed:
“I have been put forward, but it’s not official. I am desperate to do that show.”
About Lucy’s personal life
A mutual friend named Robin Banks who is a radio presenter introduced Lucy to ex-premier League Football player Stewart Castledine and the two liked each other and started dating.
She got married to him in 2000 in Richmond, West London. They now reside in Surrey and have two children, Kitty and Leo.
In 2013, she gave an interview to Hello Magazine in which she spoke about her daughter’s rare neurological disorder due to which she was in a wheelchair.
Her daughter Kitty, 10 had developed transverse myelitis while at school, and within a short span of time, Kitty was unable to move her lower body.
Lucy recalled:
“When I arrived, Kitty’s face was grey and she was sobbing in pain. ‘Mummy, I’m scared,’ she said. She told me that it felt as if someone had dropped a big metal anchor on her back.”
