After that, her ballet teacher saw her potential and advised her parents to get her an agent. After that, she joined the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Ltd. Later on she work in EastEnders with Nigel Harman.

At the age of 8, Lucy Speed was acting on stage at Londons National Theatre in Neap Tide. She appeared in several films during her youth. Her debut film was Impromtu(1991)Playing the role of Young Aurora.

Likewise, she earned her name and fame at an early age. Moreover, she also has played in many famous films and television series.

Additionally, her first television series was  Up Our Street (1987) playing the role of Fierce girl/ Sally. Slowly she began to appear in many television series, King and Castie(1988) playing the role of Susie, Rumpole of the Bailey(1987) as Isolde Erskine- Brown and later appeared in an episode of Saracen (1989) alongside actor Sean Maguire. As well as she played in Docters(2019) as Kate Davis.

Her latest Tv series is Unforgotten (2021) playing the role of Marnie Barton. Along with that, she has also appeared in many stages and ratio plays.

In 2000 Lucy Speed starred in Be My Baby at London’s Soho Theatre. In 2003 with the coordination of Street star and John Bowe she performed in Radio 4 series Elephants to Catch Eels. 

Moreover, she has appeared in many television games shows also.  Likewise, games include Celebrity Ready, Steady Cook, and Celebrity Weakest Link which is hosted by Anne Robinson, and Pointless Celebrities.
