Madeline Merlo and Chase Fann took a milestone in their relationship after knowing each other for almost three years.

The beautiful couple tied the knot on Saturday, April 22, in a garden-inspired greenhouse at the Long Hollow Gardens in Gallatin, Tennessee.

The new bride, 29, exclusively told PEOPLE of her big day,

“It was such a dream come true. The perfect way to kick off the rest of our lives.”

The “Champagne Night” songwriter first met her now-husband Chase in 2020 at a local live music bar. Merlo gushed about their first meeting with PEOPLE,

“The day after we met I texted my family and told them that I met my husband last night. I’ve known he was the one since we met and was surprised, but so happy, when he went down on one knee to propose.”

Nashville attorney, 30, popped the question to Merlo last year at a friend’s farm in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.

A Romantic Neutral Spring Garden Wedding

Although the wedding took place far from Madeline’s hometown Vancouver, Canada they try their best to add personal touches to the ceremony.

While the menu was set up with Southern comfort food as an homage to Fann’s Nashville roots whereas the bar was stocked with Canadian beer.

Chase told the outlet,

“People say your wedding is one of the best days of your life. Now I understand why.”

Similarly, Merlo walked down the aisle to “Lady May” by Tyler Childers which holds special meaning to the couple. Merlo explained,

“‘Lady May’ was a song that reminded us of our first trip to Asheville. Asheville is a magical place and it was [while we hiked] those Blue Ridge mountains that I think we both realized there was something really special between us. Lady May’ takes us back there.”

Following the ceremony, the couple held the afterparty at Tin Roof, the bar where they originally met in 2020.

As for Honeyoom, the newlywed set to take the flight to Costa Rica.

The bride of the day looked stunning in a strapless white gown designed by Madison James and completed her look with a hand-embroidered veil.

Similarly, she is just accessorized with a chain earring. The groom, on the other hand, opted for a blue coat and pants alongside a flowery tie.

Her bridesmaids can be seen in champagne taupe dresses.
