Actress Hilary Duff welcomed her friends Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith to her Los Angeles home. This happened after the couple and their kids had to vacate their house after the disastrous Eaton Fire.

Taylor’s younger brother, Griffin Goldsmith revealed on Instagram how the Disney star and her husband helped them during such a disastrous time. His Altadena home in California is also no more.

“Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme for us to help with everything moving forward,” Griffin wrote.

“Not to mention they are currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began,” he continued.

“I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known.”

Demi faced backlash for fundraising campaign

Mandy Moore, 40, posted her in-laws’ fundraising link on Instagram, urging everyone to pitch in as they now needed it “more than ever,” with their baby’s due date just weeks away.

“So many have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time … Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild,” the This Is Us star posted.

Nevertheless, the actress managed to get some under the skin of fans, as many wondered just what the “millionaires” were doing asking for donations for family members.

Responding to the critics, Moore said, “ We just lost maybe 80% of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.”

Moore and Taylor moved into the home, rented from Duff, as their property got extensively afflicted in the recent blow to the state called a fire–the Eaton Fire which started last Tuesday.

“It isn’t liveable but mostly intact,” she added, saying how her husband and brother-in-law’s music studio with all their instruments for their band, Dawes, was swept away.

The fire forced the evacuation of over 100000 residents after igniting from the Eaton fire and Palisades fire spread throughout the county.
