American singer and songwriter, Maren Morris, 34 split from her husband Ryan Hurd last year in October. There are now reports that state that she is in love again and dating someone. Is it true? Who is her current boyfriend?

Is Maren Morris in a new relationship?

American singer, Maren Morris, 34 divorced her husband, Ryan Hurd last year. And now, some reports allege that she is back in the dating pool!

People magazine has stated that Maren has commenced a romantic relationship with Netflix reality star, Justin Assada. The Massachusetts native is 27 years old. Things are very new. On 18 August 2014, Justin had posted a photo of himself with Maren on a date on his social media.

Neither have confirmed the rumors but an insider who knows both has revealed that the two are seeing each other.

Earlier, in August 2024, Maren had told People:

“I am enjoying dating for the first time.”
“This part of myself is the most confident and just not taking herself too seriously,”

She added:

“So it is the perfect moment to be dating,”
“My rules are just you have to be really spectacular to push me over.”

Maren’s marriage and divorce

In 2014, Maren was co-writing the song Last Turn Home for American singer, Tim McGraw, 57. It was during that time that she met country singer, Ryan Hurd, 37. The two fell in love and started a relationship in December 2015.

More than a year later, in July 2017, Ryan proposed to her and she said yes. The pair exchanged wedding vows on 24 March 2014 in Nashville in Tennessee.

Later, in March 2020, Maren gave birth to their child, son Hayes. She posted on her Instagram:

“Hayes Andrew Hurd. 3/23/20. Love of our lives,”

However, their marriage collapsed in a few years. In October 2023, Maren put in her divorce papers in court citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for it. The couple has a prenuptial agreement and reached a divorce settlement in January 2024.

Maren comes out as bisexual

On 9 June 2024, during the Pride month, Maren came out as bisexual via on online post. Maren put up a series of photos on her social media about her concert in Phoenix in Arizona. And she wrote below in the caption:

“Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+. Happy pride [rainbow emoji].”

This post got a number of comments from her celebrity friends. American singer, Allison Ponthier, 28 commented:

“HAPPY PRIDE!!!!! Thanks for being an inspiration and what a special pride this one is.”

Canadian singer, Lindsay Ell, 35 put up a rainbow and heart emoji in the comments section of the post. While, American singer, Kate Yeager, 23 expressed:

“WE [LOVE] MAREN! Proud of you!! Happy pride girlie [heart emoji].”

Subsequently, Maren put up a photo of herself holding the LGBTQ+ pride flag on her Instagram stories. At that time, she was doing her performance at the same concert in Phoenix. There were also a few more photos of other celebrities and fans congratulating her on her way out of the concert hall for being honest about self.
