Her first book, “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing” was translated into 44 languages like English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. More than 13 copies of the book have been sold worldwide.

The author then released her second book, Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up, in the year 2016.
