Martin Lawrence gave an update on the health of his dear friend Jamie Foxx who remains in hospital
Martin Lawrence spoke about his friend Jamie Foxx, who remains ill following a mysterious health complication.
He said he is doing better and sent his prayers for him:
“Well, I hear he’s doing better… My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”
Foxx experienced a medical complication and is currently in recovery mode, as his daughter, Corinne Foxx, first confirmed on April 12 through a statement on Instagram:
The statement read:
“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday, (April 11). “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
It concluded:
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

The actor got his long-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Martin Lawrence received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and an induction ceremony on April 20 for the unveiling.
The President and CEO of HCC, Steve Nissen, hosted the event and guest speakers included Steve Harvey and Lynn Whitfield.
His star is located at 6617 Hollywood Boulevard and is the 2,753rd to be added to the famous walkway.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement:
“Martin Lawrence has been a staple in pop culture for more than 30 years. This comedic genius has made many of us laugh for decades and he will continue to do so with his creative television and film moments.”
Lawrence reflected on the honor:
“I’m truly honored… I feel so blessed and I thank God for this honor and just recognition and my fans and it’s something that I always wanted.”
He also thanked Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy for inspiring him:
“Richard Pryor was my first introduction to wanting to be in the business, and I wanted to do this… He inspired me, him and Eddie Murphy… Just following what they’ve done in their career has allowed me to push forward in mine, so I’m very grateful and thankful.”
Martin Lawrence will be returning for ‘Bad Boys 4’ alongside Will Smith
After the huge success of the third movie, Bad Boys for Life, which was the highest-grossing film of 2020, Martin Lawrence is set to return in the fourth installment of the series.
The filming of the movie is currently underway, with recent images of Will Smith on set making headlines. Lawrence will be reprising his role as Marcus Burnett alongside Smith’s Mike Lowrey.
In January, the two actors appeared in a video announcing that the sequel was officially in production.
In the video, Smith said,
“Bad Boys for life, baby! For life!”
His co-star then made a joke, saying,
“But we did For Life… but, it’s still Bad Boys for life!”
There is no official release date for the movie yet.
