Martin Réway started his professional career with MHK Dolny Kubin U18 in the season of 2008-2009 in Slovakia U18 2, and MHC Martin U18 in Slovakia U18. He continued the next two seasons in the same way.

Réway then, moved to HC Sparta Praha playing for HC Sparta Praha U18 in Czech U18 and HC Sparta Praha U20 in Czech U20, the next season.

Martin Réway then headed over the Atlantic in 2012. Réway spent two seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL.

He was selected 116th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft as well as 102nd overall by the HC Slovan Bratislava in the 2012 KHL Junior Draft.

In 2014, Réway returned to HC Sparta Prague and made his debut with the club’s men’s squad in the Czech league.

He also started the 2015-16 season with Sparta but transferred to HC Fribourg-Gottéron in November 2015. Martin saw the ice in 19 games of the Swiss National League A (NLA), scoring eight goals while assisting on 13 more.

Martin Réway signed a three-year entry-level deal with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League on May 18, 2016.

He is set to play for St. John’s IceCaps in the AHL in the season of 2016-17.

Apart from that, he has also represented Slovakia in various international tournaments.

This includes Slovakia U17 in EYOF & WHC-17, Slovakia U18 in WJC-18 D1A & International-Jr, Slovakia U20 in WJC-20 & International-Jr, and Slovakia in WC & International.
