Mary Elizabeth Winstead and her boyfriend Ewan McGregor became parents with their first child together. The couple welcomed their first child together.
On 27th June 2021, Ewan’s eldest child Clara McGregor announced the news of her sibling’s birth. She made an Instagram post and wrote,
“Welcome to the world little brother. Congratulations to my Dad & Mary—this is the greatest gift.”
Likewise, Clara’s younger sister Esther also revealed the news on her social media writing,
“Met my little brother looking like a pirate. I recommend! Welcome to the family little Laurie.”
Mary Elizabeth and Ewan are yet to announce the pregnancy news. Ewan already has four children and the newborn Laurie is his fifth child.
How did Mary and Ewan meet?
Mary Elizabeth and Ewan McGregor first met each other back in 2016 on the set of the TV series Fargo. At the time, she was still married to her husband Riley Stearns and in May 2017 they divorced after seven years of marriage. Ewan and she were spotted kissing during an outing as they moved on together.
McGregor was also married to Eve Mavrakis whom he divorced in January 2018 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. In January 2020, Mary spoke to Glamour about starting over after a divorce. She said,
“I got divorced a couple of years ago, which was a scary, crazy thing for me because I had been with the same person since I was 18 years old, and that was what I knew. I was really starting new as an adult for the first time in my life. For me that was a big turning point, being OK with changing, accepting that change is a good thing,”
