If the latest news is to be believed, Meghan Markle is most probably opting for home delivery.

Meghan Markle and her delivery decision

Meghan Markle is pregnant everyone knows but what is new in this is that she is opting for a natural delivery at home. Sources close to Meghan and the family told Vanity Fair that the mother-to-be is considering a home delivery for this child.

She has decided to give birth from Windsor and to not go to the hospital in London for the delivery, insiders revealed.

In all possibilities, it is believed that her doctors would encourage her to rethink this and go for a hospital rather than a home delivery since it is her first delivery and first delivery could have a higher rate of difficulty and risk both for the mother and the baby.

The iconic Lindo Wing photo opp would be missing

With every royal birth, there has been a legendary Lindo Wing photo opp after the baby’s birth when the newborn is driven home by the parents.

Both Prince William and Prince Harry were photographed as newborns outside that famous St. Mary’s hospital held by father Charles as mother Diana stood beside them.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all were similarly photographed at the same place with their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton.

That has been a tradition until now and it would be a departure from it. Princess Diana and Kate had to do a full-on photoshoot merely a few hours, after giving birth and could not say no to it.

So Meghan would be the first to have defied this tradition and indirectly refused a photoshoot.

The preparation for the home delivery

It is said that preparations are already on for this mode of delivery. Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland is stated to be moving in with the couple into Frogmore Cottage soon.

She is supportive of her daughter’s decision and she will have a major role to play in the delivery process and the life of the baby because Meghan’s real mother-in-law is no more.

The source told Vanity Fair:

“Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home, She wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby. Doria will be involved and if she’s involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth.”

Though it sounds strange, Queen Elizabeth also delivered all her children at Buckingham Palace. It is believed that home deliveries cause less fear and pain for the mother and more ease of delivery.
The baby is due in the Spring of 2019 and we wish the couple the best for it.
