Meghan Trainor has apologized for her recent remarks toward teachers
Meghan Trainor apologized for her recent podcast comments about teachers and said that her anger over the school shootings in America led her to make those remarks.
“Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘F teachers’ on the podcast and it’s not how I feel. I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific.”
She said the comments in ‘Workin’ On It’, alongside her brother Ryan and guest, influencer Trisha Paytas, 34.
In a TikTok clip, the singer clarified that she loves teachers and thinks they have the hardest job, but was caught up in the moment while discussing negative past experiences with educators on her podcast.
“I love teachers, I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job and they are the most underpaid. They are the most unappreciated when they literally raise all of us. I don’t want to make excuses, I just want to [say,] I am so sorry.”
Trainor added that she and her husband plan to homeschool their children due to the ongoing epidemic of school shootings in America. She expressed regret for her words and acknowledged the potential consequences they could have on others.
“Everyone on TikTok is like, ‘This is what it’s like having kids in America. I have a bulletproof backpack.’ I was like, ‘F*** all that’ … f*** teachers, dude.”
She apologized on the video:
“I am so sorry to any teachers I made feel bad and I will remind myself that my words definitely could have a consequence and I will be more careful.”

The singer recently opened up about her PTSD diagnosis after the birth of her son
Meghan Trainor has opened up about the traumatic experience of giving birth to her son Riley via cesarean section with her husband, Daryl Sabara.
Her child had difficulty breathing and had to spend days in the NICU before the discharge.
The singer revealed that she was diagnosed with PTSD after the birth. She was left alone on the surgical table while her husband was rushed with their baby to the NICU.
All of this is in her upcoming book, Dear Future Mama.
She told PEOPLE:
“Usually when you’re being sewn up for 45 minutes, you’re like, ‘Look at my gorgeous baby. We did it. This is everything.’ But I was laying there alone.”
She added:
“In the moment, I was so drugged up, I was calling my mom, and she’s crying on the phone, like, ‘Are you okay?’ And I was like, ‘We’re fine.’ And then when I tell people what happened, they’re like, ‘Jesus Christ,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, that was kind of messed up, right?’ “
The singer started having nightmares and flashbacks to the C-section once she was home:
“I couldn’t go to sleep at night. I would be in tears and tell Daryl, ‘I’m still on that table, dude. I’m trapped there. I can’t remind myself I’m in bed and I’m safe at home. I had to learn how traumatic it was.”
Trainor revealed that she worked through it with therapy.
