Memphis Smith and Hamza Miknii, who met on the set of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, are expecting their first child.

Memphis, who is already a mother of two children is now expecting the third one. She is a single mother with a 13-year-old daughter named Kennedi, whom she welcomed from a 14-year-old relationship, and a six-year-old boy with whom she shared custody with her ex-husband.

Memphis, a 34-year-old nurse practitioner from Muskegon, MI, and Hamza, a 28-year-old from Kairouan, Tunisia, were recently shown getting married on the season five episode of the show.

The show has shown day one of their traditional two-day Tunisian wedding. Although Memphis had made up her mind to marry Hamza within two weeks, the two didn’t have a good start on the show.

Miknii had lied to her multiple times, including about his age. On the other hand, Smith had also kept her own intimate relationship with her ex hidden from him.

Despite their language barrier, the couple had been communicating with each other online and over video chat for eight months before their first encounter in Tunisia.

Hamza didn’t speak much English, and Smith didn’t speak Arabic. Walking into the wedding venue, Smith said,

“In my heart, I do feel like I’m making the right decision. Hamza gives me a sense of family that I don’t think I’ve ever really felt, and I deserve it, But ultimately, I don’t know what to expect in the future. I just hope and pray I’m not making the wrong decision.”

She dressed in gold attire for the big day.

Pregnant news

A few days after the wedding, Memphis revealed to Hamza that she was pregnant. Hamza was in disbelief at the time and asked in an excited manner,

“What? You? You playing with me?”

Memphis said she had been feeling nauseous and out of sorts, so she snuck out to the pharmacy to take a pregnancy test, which showed the couple a positive result. Smith later revealed they weren’t trying to get pregnant on Memphis’ trip overseas.

As she and Hamza apparently weren’t taking a lot of precautions and so they knew this was something that could happen. The couple took a trip around the coast of Tunisia for their honeymoon.

The 34-year-old nurse practitioner said in a confessional,

“The idea of having more kids is really stressful. I have children already and I’m pretty settled, but because I love Hamza so much and I know that he wants to be a father, that makes me want to give him one.”

Unfortunately, Memphis had to return home just a couple of days later. Hamza was upset about the idea that he wouldn’t be able to help and take care of Memphis through her pregnancy in the U.S.

Nevertheless, he accompanies Memphis to the airport as she flies to Michigan. Hamza tells his American wife in tears,

“No scared. No long time go America. do not forget me heart,”
