Last week it was reported that after constant flirting on Instagram, Demi won herself a date with the Bachelor Nation star. The news of the two “hanging out” and “talking privately” made headlines all over the internet and fans were thrilled to hear about it. On Friday, Mike was interviewed by Extras!

Jenn Lahmers at the 2019 iheartRadio Music Festival where he was asked about the heated rumors of them going on dates. There, Mike opened up about the topic and smilingly, said

“I’m just getting to know Demi. I think she’s absolutely fantastic and I don’t want no pressure on her, no pressure on me, we’re just trying to get to know each other. That’s all.”

He also took the time to compliment the Disney star, stating that she is beautiful inside and out.

” she definitely is beautiful inside and out. When I say the word beautiful, I think about someone’s heart, you know not just her exterior and Demi, she’s beautiful both ways.”

Can we take a moment to point out how freaking cute and genuine Mike is though? He also emphasized that he wants to take Demi on another date. Eek!! can we hope for a stepping stone in this relationship? As for Johnson’s perfect date with Lovato, he said,

“With Demi, I know some things that she likes. I would make sure that’s personalized to her and she never forgets it.”
“Of course, we gotta go on another date — c’mon, now! We got to really get to know each other.”

All these butterflies in my tummy. We do hope things work out between these two because they make a hella cute duo.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Mike shared with us his romantic movie dinner date with Lovato and my my, sparks are flying. In the same interview, Johnson was asked if he was seeing anyone else to which he straight out replied,

“No! I’m not looking at all. My attention is 100% on Demi but I am a single man but my attention’s on Demi. She’s the one that I’d text before I go to bed.”

Johnson can be seen blushing and shying as he said those words. Can he get any cuter than this? Also, if you’re wondering how Mike feels about not being picked for the Bachelor, he seems to have made peace with it, saying:

“I’m so happy that Peter is the Bachelor. I think he’s really sexy when he has a 5 o’clock shadow and nothing against ABC what-so-ever. I mean, they did a wonderful job on choosing Peter for what they want and I would have loved to have been the Bachelor, but you know, my mom always told me that God has a plan for me. And so I’m happy where I’m at.”
