In the 67th edition of the pageant, Miss World 2017, there were 126 countries and territories to join the pageant. This year the contestant first arrived in Singapore and then headed to China.
The grand finale took place on the 18th of November in Sanya, China. The Miss Word 2016, Stephanie Del Valle from Puerto Rico crowned the Miss World 2016 with the most renowned crown.

Winners of the Miss World 2017!!
Congratulations to the winner of Miss World 2017, Miss India Manushi Chhillar. Miss England Stephanie Hill became the first runner-up while Miss Mexico Alma Andrea Meza Carmona was the second runner-up in the 67th Miss World contest.
Defeating all the challenges and participants, the 20-year-old medical student of Hariyana, Maushi Chhillar took the crown.
The previous year’s Miss World winner from Puerto Rico took the honor of crowning the Miss World 2017. After 17 years, Miss India took the crown home as the previous winner from India was Priyanka Chopra in 2000.
The star also took the Twitter to congratulate Miss World Manushi. She wrote:

Manushi is the sixth woman to take the crown in her country India. The first winner from India was Reita Faria in 1966. In the year 1994, film star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan won the crown. Eventually, Diana Haydon in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, and Priyanka Chopra in 2000 were the winners of the crown.
According to the sites, Chhillar took the crown with her answer in the final round. In the five questions and answers, she had to answer which profession she believed deserved the highest salary. While the beauty replied:
“I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it’s not always about cash but I feel it’s the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life.”
Moreover, she added:
“All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary.”

All the extremely talented and amazing women from all around the world came for the beauty pageant.
This is the fifth time in 10 years China has held the prestigious competition. Last year the competition was full of controversy when Hong Kong stopped Miss Canada, Anastasia Lin, from boarding a plane bound for China’s Hainan Island.
They stopped her saying she would not receive a visa. Moreover, things got more controversial when the pageant stopped Lin from talking about Human rights abuses in China.
