Model Jeremy Ruehlemann dies aged 27
American male model Jeremy Ruehlemann passed away on January 22, 2023. The model was born in New Jersey and was 27 years old at the time of his demise.
The tragic news of Ruehlemann’s passing was first announced on Facebook by his close friend Gianni Simpson on Sunday.
In a lengthy tribute on Facebook, Simpson uploaded a few pictures of them together and wrote:
“All day I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts and what to even say. We both met each other at a young age of 15 & 17. We bonded over feeling like our parents couldn’t deal with us as trouble teenagers and sent us both away for 4 weeks to OTC!”
He also emphasized how close they were as friends:
“We instantly were Inseparable and both bonded over our live for music, sports, fashion tattoos etc. Basically what I’m saying is what Gianni liked Jerm like and what Jerm like Gianni like. We grew up together every summer for 2 years after that and would have call each other for anything.”
He ended the tribute by saying:
“You definitely seen me emotionally at my worst and my best and I can’t thank you enough for the friendship and love you gave me the last passed 10 years brother. I love you forever and the new of hearing you gone really broke my heart. You’ll forever be in my heart! From your lil big brother I love you”

American fashion designer and close friend of Jeremy Ruehlemann, Christian Siriano expressed his sadness on Instagram, where he paid tribute to his late friend:
“I have never posted anything like this but to lose a friend who was such a beautiful soul is just really hard. This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man that gave so much love to everyone he met no matter what. He was one of my muses and he always will be.”
He added:
“He inspired me and I will love him forever,” the designer captioned an album of photos of Ruehlemann. “I’m sending all my love to his family and friends who lost someone so special. I know we will meet again one day but right now I just want to hug him. Rest well J we all love you so much! Send love to his family today please.”
Halston’s creative director Ken Downing also dedicated an Instagram post to the model. He captioned it:
“Goodbye Sweet Jeremy. RIP Jeremy Ruehlemann. Love to your family who you adored, as much as they love and adored you. I am heartbroken.”
Famous makeup artist Hung Vanngo also mourned on Instagram:
“He made such a large impact on everyone he met. In this industry you meet a lot of people, but he was one of those people that even if you met him once he would have a part of your heart forever. ”
He added:
“My Team and I love and cherish the time we had working with him. A true friend, you will be loved and remembered forever. RIP Jeremy.”

His most recent notable professional performance took place in September at the Spring/Summer 2023 collection presentation for Atelier Cillian during New York Fashion Week.
Ruehlemann attended Rowan University from 2013 to 2017, when, according to his LinkedIn page, he “fell in love with psychology and learning how human beings behave academically and emotionally.”
Ruehlemann, a resident of Mahwah, New Jersey, previously worked as a camp counselor and attended college to study psychology before resigning in 2017 to focus on modeling.
Since then, he has participated in Siriano’s fashion shows and modeled for brands including Superdry (pictured), John Varvatos, Joseph Abboud, Zara, Nick Graham, and Atelier Cillian, among others.
