Modest Mouse drummer and co-founder Jeremiah Green rests peacefully after losing their battle with cancer. The drummer died on Saturday, December 31, 2022, with his band confirming the death news,
“I don’t know a way to ease into this: Today we lost our dear friend, Jeremiah. He laid down to rest and simply faded out.”

“I’d like to say a bunch of pretty words right now, but it just isn’t the time. These will come later, and from many people. Please appreciate the love you give, get, have given, and will get. Above all, Jeremiah was about love. We love you.”

Cancer Diagnosis of Jeremiah Green
The late drummer Green was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer as his mother Carol Namatame revealed on Christmas Day, 2022, a week before the band revealed his death.
Earlier this week, frontman Isaac Brock revealed how Green had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer shortly and now his death news spread worldwide.
He had conveyed that Green was undergoing treatment and everything seemed to be going smoothly. Though they said they were making a positive difference but that was not the case.

Tributes are pouring in for the late Drummer Green
English musician Johnny Marr paid tribute to the late drummer Green after the short notice of his demise due to cancer on New Year’s Eve 2022. He Tweeted,
“The great Jeremiah Green. My friend, bandmate, and the most creative musician I ever met.”
Lol Tolhurst offers condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased. He also prayed that the departed soul might rest in peace, Tweeting,
“So sad to hear about Jeremiah Green. We only met once a few years ago, he was a lovely fellow and as drummers we had an instant connection. I cherish that memory with love to his family and friends. RIP.”
Steven Hyden mentioned Jeremiah as the greatest drummer of all time and felt devastated waking up to listen to his death news. He honored the late drummer on Twitter,
“Very sad to wake up to the news that Jeremiah Green has passed at the too young age of 45. Simply one of the all-time great indie rock drummers. Playing “Truckers Atlas” today in his honor. RIP.”
