A family of three! Morgan Radford and David Williams is now officially a parent.
The NBC News Daily anchor and correspondent, 35, gave birth to her first child a daughter named Adelana “Lana” Marcia Radford Williams, on Thursday, February 2. The newborn baby was 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and 21 inches at the time of her birth.
Similarly, her first name ‘Adelana’ holds a special meaning that is a Yoruban word meaning “the conduit by which more good things are to come,” whereas her middle name ‘Marcia’ was kept after her maternal grandmother, Lily Marcia.

The baby’s arrival news comes five months after the pair announced their pregnancy news. Radford exclusively told PEOPLE,
“The last few days have been total bliss: a swirl of newborn kisses, sweet baby smells, and wide-eyed innocence. The way she looks at me and seems to instinctively know the tremendous, all-consuming love that I have for her — simply sets my world on fire,”
How is Morgan Radford embracing her motherhood journey?
Morgan is experiencing her motherhood journey for the first time. She shares glimpses into her life after the arrival of her little one. The actress expressed,
“Adelana’s days are filled with made-up nursery rhymes sung to her by her father, sweet baby babble while she dreams, and endless kisses from her four grandparents who are spoiling her with tenderness (and their speed of diaper changes, which far exceeds that of her first-time parents!),”
Adding to that, she said,
“You always hear people describe how they didn’t know a love like this existed before their little ones — and now I get it: it is truly the purest, most steady, untouched terrain of human love that is possible.”
Morgan Radford debuted her newborn on Instagram
Morgan also shared the baby news in a joint Instagram post sharing a series of photos of their newborn.
The first photo of the series featured a family photo of three. In the photo, Williams can be seen kissing his wife’s forehead while Radford kept her newly born on her chest.
Similarly, the other shots showed their beautiful moment captured from the hospital while posing with their little princess. Along with the photos, Radford wrote a lengthy message underneath the post that reads,
“Hello World! Meet ADELANA (or “LANA” for short!) She is the life that love created,”
The proud mama refers to the little one as her “bundle of joy, new best friend, and her wildest dream” and “the apple of her daddy’s eye and the keeper of his heart”.

In addition, she said their little one “is also the living manifestation of decades of love and investment by her (very) proud grandparents, who cannot stop staring at her in joy and disbelief”.
Furthermore, she showed gratitude towards those who outpour well-wishes and prayers for their bundle of joy.
“Thank you for all of the well-wishes and prayers bringing her into this world; it means the world to us as sleep-deprived parents who can’t stop staring at her full head of hair and tiny little toes,”
“We are simply in a state of wondrous awe, witness to how precious and miraculous human life is,”
