The well-known face on the internet and Motivational speaker, Muniba Mazari is the inspiration for all the women out there to speak up for their rights. She has broken the mainstream concept of typical Asian society.
The inspiration for all the women out there
A normal woman from an Asian country Pakistan caught the attention of the people after she shared her heartbreaking story in a speech. Muniba, a mom of a child is a motivational speaker and is also known as the ‘Iron Lady’ of Pakistan.
She is now living a happy life with her son and an upgoing career in arts and social activities. But she did not have a smooth life as she fought for 7 years and it was not an easy way to walk.
After a few years of marriage, when she was just 21 years old, she met with an accident and her lower body was paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury.
In one of her speeches, she mentioned that her husband fell asleep while they were traveling and the car fell into a ditch. Her husband, however, managed to escape from the car while she remained over there. This led her to several injuries and half of her body got paralyzed.
Though she had a big misfortune in her life, the brave lady fought and came out of all the struggles and pain. Muniba who has a fighter soul never gave up and used her disability as a strength.
After the accident, she divorced her male chauvinist husband and is living as a single mother. Moreover, she also made her fame as a wheel-chair model and an artist.
Muniba is an inspiration
Muniba came out like a light for many women and has inspired them to fight for their rights. In her speech, she also mentioned that during her days in the hospital, she started painting and tried to fill some colors in her dreary life.
After the incident, she did not take the sympathy and stood against the orthodox impractical rules of the society and wanted to do something.
Moreover, she also joined various campaigns to help the disabled rise in society, and take part in the economy. She showed that disabilities are not objects of sympathy and they are also humans and have strength too.
Muniba is the brand ambassador for the brand TONI & GUY, and soon she is to be the first ‘wheel-chair-bound’ TV host.
She has described her disabilities saying:
“the wheelchair cannot be an excuse for not doing anything……… be grateful for what you have, and trust me, you will end up having more……… learn the art of converting your adversities into opportunities, so be happy, be grateful, be alive and don’t let anyone ‘dis’ your abilities.”
