Naomi took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday to show off her growing baby bump. “(We) voted,” she wrote.
She’s expecting her first baby with her husband of two years, Peter George Heermann Neal.

Congratulations to Naomi Biden and her husband Peter George Heermann Neal, who announced they are pregnant with their first baby.

The granddaughter of former US President Joe Biden announced the exciting news on Tuesday. On Election Day, she shared an Instagram Story debuting her cute baby bump and revealed that she had voted in the 2024 presidential election.

The future mom captioned the adorable snap “(we) voted,” with an American flag emoji and an upside-down smiley face emoji.

Naomi, the first daughter of Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his ex-wife, Katherine Buhle is expecting the baby with her husband of two years, Peter George Heermann Neal.

The 30-year-old married Neal in November 2022 in a private ceremony held on the South Lawn of the White House.

It was the first-ever wedding for a presidential family member at the White House since the Clintons. Also, it was the first-ever wedding ceremony held there for a grandchild of a sitting president.

The Columbia Law graduate’s parents along with Joe and first lady Jill Biden attended the wedding.

The bride showed her love for her om by carrying the Lilies of the Valley, a tradition in her maternal family.

“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow, discover who she is, and carve out such an incredible life for herself,” Joe and Jill told the New York Times in a statement at the time of the celebrations.

“Now, we are filled with pride to see her choose Peter as her husband and we’re honored to welcome him to our family. We wish them days full of laughter and a love that grows deeper with every passing year.”

How is Naomi’s bond with her granddad Joe Biden?

The couple announced their engagement just one year before the wedding in September 2021. It was announced at the time that they had chosen the White House as their wedding venue.

Before them, presidential photographer Pete Souza married Patti Lease in the Rose Garden in 2013.

Naomi and Neal started dating in 2018 after being set up by a friend in NYC. She is the eldest grandchild of Joe’s seven grandchildren. She also has siblings: Finnegan and Maisy.

In an interview, Naomi revealed that her grandpa lives at the center of the close-knit Biden clan.

The former president has also been very vocal about his close bond with his grandkids. Just before Joe’s inauguration, Naomi, who also resides in Washington D.C., said that she was super excited that her grandad whom she lovingly calls Pop would be only a few miles away.

“We’ve grown up together,” she said. “He’s made sure that every single tradition, every holiday, we’re all together… I don’t think there’s been any decision, no matter how big or small, that we haven’t decided as a family.”
