Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Renay have officially ended their marriage. Just five months after filing for divorce, the couple has now finalized their divorce.

The So Sick singer will now pay his former spouse $1.6 million to balance out their real estate holdings and $20,000 for moving expenses.

The court documents obtained also state that Renay will own one of their four houses in Georgia.

Moreover, the Camden-born rapper also is ready to give her a cheque for $150,000 so that she can get herself a new car. He will be keeping their Bentley Bentayga.

The 43-year-old Grammy winner will also pay Crystal $12,000 a month in child support for their three underaged children.

Additionally, he will bear any education-related expenses. As for who will take care of the kids, the exes will share joint custody of their children.

Lastly, the Miss Independent hitmaker will also provide $5,000 a month in alimony for the next three years.

The model filed for divorce from the rapper in August 2022 after accusing him of cheating on her with another woman.

She claimed at the time,

“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane,”

Crystal accused Ne-Yo of fathering another woman’s child

In the divorce filing, the mother of three said that her husband fathered a child from another woman while still being married to her.

Crystal and the rapper, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, first tied the knot in February 2016. But the couple filed for divorce two years later citing irreconcilable differences but remarried in April 2022.

Apart from having three kids together: Shaffer Jr., 6, Roman, 4, and Isabella, 1, Ne-Yo also fathers Madilyn, 12, and Mason, 11, from his past relationship with Monyetta Shaw.

When asked if there is any chance of the couple getting back together, Crystal said that the chances are non-existent.

She said,

“There are no chances,”
“Certain things can’t be forgiven, but God will forgive, and one day so will I,”

Crystal also clarified that “the Christian in [her] has to [forgive] one day.”

The 36-year-old model is not sure whether she will date again and said, “Only God knows.”

The musician, on his part, did not speak much and simply tweeted,

“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums.”

He also asked his fans to “respect [him] and [his] family’s privacy at this time.”
