Spreading Joy! Nick Cannon Dresses Up as Santa Claus to Visit Sick Children at Cancer Hospital!

Nick Cannon visits hospital where his son died of brain cancer
Nick Cannon dressed up as Santa during his visit to an Orange County, Calif., children’s hospital where he spread joy to sick children. It was the same hospital where his son, Zen passed away of cancer two years ago.
In honor of his late son, the Wild ‘N Out host wrote on Instagram on Friday alongside a video of his visit to the hospital,
“Zens’s Light shinning [sic] bright for the holidays!!,”
“Thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and everyone who made the day so loving, warm and memorable.🙏🏾❤️”
The emotional clip showed the comedian in a full Santa get-up as he read stories to young children and handed gifts to them.
The Masked Singer host also posted some adorable snaps with the hospitalized kids at some point during his important visit.
It was in December 2021 that Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s son their 5-month-old son, Zen to brain cancer.
Soon after Zen was born in July 2021, Nick admitted that his son had a nice-sized head and had developed a cough. The worried parents then took their boy to the doctor’s.
Doctors then realized that the baby boy’s brain was building up fluid and it eventually was discovered as a malignant tumor.
The baby then had to undergo surgery to drain the fluid. However, his health worsened the following Thanksgiving.

How did Nick and Alyssa deal with their son’s death?
In a podcast episode in December 2021, Cannon announced that he and Scott lost their son, saying,
“This weekend I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen,”
He tearfully added,
“We woke up on Sunday … and [went] to the ocean … and then I had to fly back to New York for the show,”
The All That alum added, “You can’t heal until you feel,”
Just six months after the devastating loss, Nick and Alyssa announced Zen’s Light Foundation to commemorate their baby’s death.
They wrote in a joint post on Instagram in June 2022,
“We are proud to announce his new foundation that will help so many others in this world,”
“‘Zen’s Light’ mission is to foster global excellence in hope, grief-care, and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need.”
Cannon, 43, said that he and Scott were doing their best to turn pain into purpose. He said,
“To know how much joy that he brought our family, I just wanted to spread that light.”
Alyssa then announced in October of last year that she and Nick were pregnant with another child. They welcomed their daughter, Halo Marie, in December of that year.
