Nigerian actor, singer, and comedian, Charles Okocha, 48 is a married man now! He exchanged wedding vows with his fiancée recently. He uploaded a video of the wedding on his social media for his fans.

Charles Okocha is a married man!

The famous actor and comedian of Nollywood, Charles Okocha, 48 has walked down the aisle with his fiancée. Charles who also goes by the name Igwe 2Pac revealed this good news on his social media for his fans. Charles uploaded a video of the wedding and wrote below:

“It’s official#MICHARLES2024.”

The video that he shared showed him exiting a big luxury vehicle. Charles was in an expensive blue-colored traditional outfit with long-sleeves. It had intricate patterns on it. With this grand arrival, Charles exuded confidence, elegance, and pride. His wife resides in the USA and is a nurse. He did not reveal her identity or name.

The relationship of the couple

Charles has been dating his wife for the past 7-8 years. A few days back, Charles had uploaded a few pre-wedding photos of his engagement to his girlfriend. The couple looked radiant and happy in it. They were in gorgeous outfits for the photoshoot. Charles had put the simple caption for this series of photos on his Instagram. It read:

“#MICHARLES2024.”

His fans were delighted with the news. They are also excited for the couple after Charles uploaded the wedding video on 5 November 2024 on his Instagram.

He also gave an interview to Sunday Scoop in which he mentioned that the two are in a romantic relationship since 2017. Charles has two children from previous relationships but he has never married. He told the news outlet:

“I am getting married because it’s only right for me to be married. We have been dating since 2017, quietly, with no social media show of affection. She lives in America and is a nurse. So, it is true.”

When queried about the reaction of his children to the new woman in his life, Charles responded:

“My kids are very comfortable and happy with the news.”

Charles’ earlier reservation with marriage

Charles had been in relationships in the past and had become baby daddy of two children. The names and ages of these children are not known.

However, in an earlier interview, Charles had shared that he preferred to remain unmarried and did not want any commitment. In January 2023, Charles had given an interview to THE PUNCH, in which he had spoken about it. He had said:

“I have never been married and am a happy man. You and I know what is going on these days. You see, a couple married for years and then divorced. People you see as role models are getting divorced, and when you see them, you are like, what is going on? You have been looking up to these people, and now they are divorced. How do you want me to get into this marriage thing?”

Charles had won the Vskit Voice Competition in the year 2019. The same year, Charles had suffered a gunshot injury when a policeman fired at him in Asaba, Nigeria. He had to undergo an emergency surgery in the USA for it.
