Noah Cyrus revealed internet trolls made her suicidal at 11
Noah Cyrus is not happy with the internet trolls.
The singer warned those trolls who tried to make fun of her after she announced her engagement news.
She wrote in the text with a dark background via her Instagram Story on Thursday, just three days after making her engagement public to Pinkus,
“Since I’ve announced something so pure and happy for me and my life the internet and commenters have been working so hard to take the joy, love, and happiness from me,”
The 23-year-old July songstress added that they are the same people who trolled her for her face and body when she was just 11 years old.
The impact of the hateful comments was so intense that she started believing at the time she “didn’t deserve to live” because she was “not good enough” and didn’t meet the trolls’ “beauty standards.”
She added,
“I’ve been reminded again today how deeply f—ked the internet is and how it turned me against myself and lead [sic] myself to believe I should kill myself, wasn’t worth living, ended up suicidal and depending on drugs.”
The good news, however, is that she feels lucky to finally be in a place where others’ negative opinions about her do not matter into “hurting [herself] once again.”
Mylie’s sister continued,
“We live in 2023 we have GOT to stop judging people for who they love, what they look like, where they come from, and how THEY live THEIR lives,”

Noah’s past struggles with drug addictions and mental health issues
This is not the first time the model has opened up about her struggle with anxiety and depression. In 2019, before the release of her song Lonely, she teamed up with Ad Council to openly discuss her fight with depression.
She said at the time,
“I felt stuck in this place that I could not get out of for a while. I felt like I had no control over my life,”
Just a year later, on her birthday, Noah revealed on social media that she was not sure if she would make it to 21.
She wrote in a since-deleted post,
“Every day is work when it comes to your mental health and personal battles. not every day is going to be hell and not every day is going to be perfect. I’m still figuring that out,”
The Young & Sad singer also spoke to her fans and supporters, saying,
“Thank you for understanding how growing up so publicly was hard on me.. thank you for your support and continuing to grow with me.”
Cyrus opened up about her past struggles with drug addiction in July.
She said,
“Once I felt that it was possible to silence things out for a second and numb your pain, it was over. It just kind of becomes this dark pit, bottomless pit,”
However, Noah has been recovering since 2020.
She added,
“I wake up in the mornings, and I’m able to look in a mirror and go on about my day without hating myself. I’m able to comfort myself and nurture myself.”
