Imran Khan and his gesture of love and peace
When the Indian PM repeated his surgical strike for vote banks, an Indian pilot named Abhinandan was caught on the Pakistani side. There was this fake news circulated by the Indian side that he is been tortured and harassed.
But what came out of it all was something different. The mature thinking of Pakistani PM Imran Khan toppled the wrong and made wisdom and love prevail. He extended his hands for a peace initiative by releasing the IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan on 1 March 2019.
Pakistan released the captured prisoner of war Abhinandan. He came back to India via the Wagah border in Lahore with due respect and he had no signs of torture on him. He was received by the officials on the Indian side.
The trending messages on social media
As soon as news broke that Imran Khan had released the Indian prisoner IAF pilot Abhinandan, #WelcomeHomeAbhinandan began to trend on social media in India. As per the stats released, tweets with this hashtag number more than 24k tweets.
But what is more fascinating is the fact that soon after this there were trending messages and hashtags which demanded a Nobel Prize for Imran Khan. Tweets with the hashtag #NobelPeacePrizeforImranKhan were more than 24.3k. 139k tweets stated #GobackModi.

The best part is that even a former Supreme Court Judge of India took to Twitter to praise Imran Khan for his noble and peace-making initiative.
Imran also inspired Markandey Katju, a former Supreme Court judge in India that Katju could not refrain himself and shared his thoughts on the Twitter handle.

Pakistani celebrities appreciate Imran Khan’s act and behavior
There are a number of Pakistani celebrities who tweeted about the kindness and goodness of their PM. Urwa Hocane, Mawra Hocane, and many more celebrities put up their thoughts on the internet about their PM and stated that his mature act has won their hearts.
Many Pakistanis have put up a petition on Change.org where they have asked concerned authorities to nominate Imran Khan for the Nobel Peace Prize. A resolution submitted to Pakistan’s National Assembly also requested for a Nobel Peace Prize for Imran Khan. It further said:
“The Pakistani Prime Minister played a sagacious role in reducing tension between Pakistan and India which was created due to the war-mongering attitude of the Indian leadership,”
Imran Khan’s level-headedness and timely thinking and actions have won the hearts of people around the world!

Imran Khan and his tweet reply
Imran Khan was modest when he tweeted that he is not worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. He wrote:
“I am not worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.”
But he used this powerful social media to make his point on Kashmir clear. He further wrote:
“The person worthy of this would be the one who solves the Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and paves the way for peace and human development in the subcontinent,”
